In a current and highly recommended professional article in the Deutsche Heilpraktiker-Zeitschrift (DHZ 2016; 11(02): 34–40), Dr. Bortfeldt and Dr. Hoos explain that nowadays, occupational stress in particular can lead to autonomic imbalance, with coronary heart disease (CHD) playing a key role in this context.
The authors conclude that the analysis of heart rate variability (HRV) as a marker of autonomic adaptation and regulation capacity provides a central basis for the diagnosis and therapy of cardiac and autonomic disorders. By measuring heartbeat intervals, valid prognoses and therapy plans can already be developed at an early stage, even with minimal equipment requirements.
