We are pleased that this year we are able to support music therapy at the Children’s Hospice Regenbogenland.
The Children’s Hospice Regenbogenland is a home for children who, due to an incurable illness or severe disability, have only a limited life expectancy. Regenbogenland is a place where life and joy of living are at the center. It is an institution designed to help families make the time they still have together with their child as fulfilling and positive as possible.
On the one hand, a children’s hospice should become a second home for the affected children, a place they enjoy returning to for short stays in a pleasant, family-like atmosphere. There, they receive the best possible care and support from specially trained staff.
On the other hand, a children’s hospice provides relief for the entire family and complements home care. The home-based care of terminally ill and/or severely disabled children is a responsibility that often places extraordinary burdens on families for many years. By offering the possibility of temporary stays for the children, their parents, and siblings, the hospice aims to supplement home care and help prevent children from having to be separated from their families for extended periods.
