Old methods in a new light: news from facia research
In a current specialist article in the Deutsche Heilpraktiker-Zeitschrift (DHZ 2016; 11(02): 34-40), which is well worth reading, Dr. Bortfeldt and Dr. Hoos explain that nowadays, work-related stress in particular can lead to vegetative imbalances and that coronary heart disease (CHD) plays a key role in this. The authors come to the conclusion that the analysis of heart rate variability (HRV) as a marker of autonomic adaptability and regulatory capacity provides a central basis for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and vegetative diseases. By measuring the heartbeat intervals, valid prognoses and treatment plans can be drawn up at an early stage, even with minimal use of equipment.
