Upon request, we work closely with physicians and other specialists. This interdisciplinary collaboration makes it possible to develop individualized treatment approaches and to optimally integrate treatment into a holistic health concept.

Osteopathy – A Holistic Form of Medicine

Osteopathy views the human being as a unity of structure, function, and biochemistry. Its aim is not only to treat symptoms but also to address their underlying causes. The method was developed in the 19th century by the American physician Dr. Andrew Taylor Still. Today, osteopathy is internationally recognized and continues to be refined both scientifically and methodologically.

Qualification & Expertise

Our therapists have completed several years of in-depth osteopathic training. Regular continuing education and professional development are an integral part of our work, allowing us to incorporate the latest scientific findings and treatment methods into our daily practice. This combination of expertise and experience fosters trust and ensures that we can treat patients individually and professionally.

Our friendly, skilled, and experienced practice team welcomes you in the center of Düsseldorf!

What does an osteopathic treatment involve?

Scheduling: A session typically lasts 30–50 minutes. The treatment plan is tailored to the individual situation.

Consultation & Medical History: The process begins with a detailed consultation. We record your symptoms, your medical history, and any possible connections.

Examination: This is followed by a precise osteopathic examination, in which the entire body is included – posture, mobility, breathing and relevant structures.

Treatment: Based on the findings, we use specifically selected manual techniques. Each treatment is individually tailored and performed primarily with the hands.

Further recommendations: In conclusion, we provide information on support in everyday life and, if appropriate, coordinate with treating physicians or other specialists in an interdisciplinary manner.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions about Osteopathy

Is osteopathy scientifically based?

Osteopathy is based on fundamental medical subjects and is continuously supplemented by current research.

How many osteopathy sessions are usually required?

This varies from person to person. Often a few treatments are sufficient, while in other cases longer-term support is recommended.

Are osteopathic treatments covered by health insurance?

Private health insurance companies (PKV) typically cover 80–100% of the costs based on the German fee schedule for alternative practitioners (GebüH), provided these services are included in the policy. Statutory health insurance companies (GKV) rarely reimburse – usually only partially and only on the basis of a private prescription, as this is often a prerequisite.

Is osteopathic treatment painful?

Osteopathy also includes techniques that can be perceived as painful. The techniques used are individually tailored and depend on the patient’s symptoms and findings.

Can osteopathy be combined with other therapies?

Yes. Osteopathy can be easily combined with conventional or naturopathic treatments. We coordinate with other disciplines upon request.
