The opinion research institute Forsa conducted a representative survey on osteopathy in June 2018 on behalf of the Association of Osteopaths Germany (VOD e.V.), which produced highly interesting results.
Almost one in five respondents had already received osteopathic treatment. Remarkably, patient satisfaction was also very high: 4 out of 5 were very satisfied or satisfied with their osteopathic treatment. However, more than two-thirds of respondents mistakenly believed that the qualification of osteopaths is legally regulated. Unfortunately, this is still not the case. Therefore, we recommend that all patients always inquire about the training and experience of their therapists.
